I'm using MSN Messenger to converse with a couple of members of the family, but have run into problems with the camera/speech settings.
They won't work!
It works ok normally, ie typing, but the minute you try to use the camera etc it goes wrong. It will try to connect, but at my end I get the message 'The conversation with ____ has been stopped', or if another member of the family tries to connect with me, they get the message ' Cannot connect, there may be a problem with the network, please try later' - or something like that.
Both camera's/microphones have been installed correctly and configured. I used this setup about one year ago to connect to a friend and all worked fine then.
Remote assistance via Messenger works ok. As does file sending. If these didn't work it might be easier to solve!
Have tried with/without firewall.
However my PC is now connected via a router.
Both machines using Xp Pro.
