Outdoors 9600 pro radeon 128 problem!!!

Seem to be having all different kinds of problems with my 9600 pro card...first NFSU would cut out...got it fixed, then monitor started beeping continuously, got that fixed, now Sims Deluxe just ups and quits....?? Wife was playing it for about 1.5 hours and then it quit...screen went black then went to desktop...restarted game worked fine, checked temps on system right after it happened...fine...

cpu 40C
board 28C
power/aux 28C

put on a 9800 radeon heatsink and fan not sure what the problem is..? using 3.10 drivers
and only have cpu overclocked from athlon xp 2500 to 3200..

I've read where a lot of folks are have trouble with the 3.10.
Most have said they went back to 3.9 and it cleared up their problems. Don't know if it will help you but you might try it.

I use the 3.10's and they seem to work as good as the 3.9's. Am I the only person whome has never had a ATI driver problom?

yes, using latest drivers and never had a problem, seems to be only when playing games for a long time....NFSU doesn't do it, but the Sims Deluxe does it everynow and then...not sure what the prob is...OH well...anyone else feel free to post any thoughts..will try them all , may have to go with a better agp cooling system when i get some money...

another thought, had card slightly overclocked, put it back to default, will see if that works also...

LOL ati and nfsu u dont get it, my 9700 pro is having trubles too, as i told in my post *9700 Pro dissaster* about the drivers, im hot sure which ones i like, motion blurr still wont work with nfsu on any drivers, screen just goes black, i got the 3.10s back now and didnt fix a thing.

why is it that everyone i know is having not 1 problem with their atis but im having one after the other * among a few other ppl as far as i see*

yeh Nvidia is just the way to go.

Then again EA has their issues, so i wouldned blame it on the card yett.

Tell EA to hurry up with another patch.

Also, try to disable that VPU Recovering option!
It seems to crash a couple of games!
