Best silent heatsink??

I'm trying to find the best silent heatsink out there (for Athlon XP) but I haven't been keeping up lately. Any suggestions?

Three sinks you might want to look into, the Thermalright SLK 900A (or U forget which one is universal) or an SP-97. Pair those sinks up with an Enermax 92 MM speed variable fan and you have either a high performace silent coolers or amazing perfromance screamer.

Another sink you might want to look at is the Gigabyte 3D Cooler-Pro. It looks promising and at low RPMs, it has been said to be virtualy silante. Here is a review of it:

Hope this helps.

Expensive : ThermalRight SLK-900a with EnerMax UC-9FAB fan , about the best air cooler you can get and adjustable 9cm fan that is quiet even with 60+cfm flowing , sold separately .

Very quiet but a good cooler : ThermalTake Silent Boost , comes with fan .

IN-expensive : Dynatron BH 610 , very effective cooler comes with quiet fan , if not enough air flow the heatsink is good enough to upgrade to a more powerful adjustable fan , about $15 USD .

Most heatsinks are dead quiet. It's the fan that makes all the noise.

Yep, replaced the delta screamer in the wifes system and she's much happier

I even got it for 25 bucks locally!

I would have to recommend the Thermaltake SilentBoost due to overwhelming good reviews from everyone I know that has one. It's my second next computer part purchase. Gotta replace this aging V7.

Vantec AeroFlow TMD cooler. Costs about $25.00-$30.00 depending where you buy it. It's quiet and a very effective cooler.
