I did the fixmbr command on Recovery Console Win XP, I did it because it gave me an error about the NTLDR is compressed, now it can not load the operating system, any suggestions?

do a repaire install of xp from the cd. it will reinstall and repaire the damaged system files and leave your data and setting intact.
but you will need to reinstall the sp1 and all the updates again.

I only have the windows XP home edition, the one installed on the computer is a Professional Edition, would that be a problem?
I think i messed up the MBR when i did the fixmbr command... i do not know if the repair install can fix these damaged files
