--"3. I have a large sound or video file that I want to break up into smaller files. Can The File Splitter do this?
No. The File Splitter is only designed to split a file and then put the pieces back together to form the original file. The pieces that it creates are not meant to be used"--

thanx bill... but im not gonna be putting the file back together after its split. i want to put half a movie on one cd then the other half on another cd. kinda like they used to do with long movies on vhs... got anything like that?

sounds like you need some sort of video editor. you could for instance then take that and copy the video file (one that needs 2 cds), and delete the last half in one file and the first half in the other.
