Apparently the DC police are scanning cars for gamma-ray emissions. This story, Code Orange: Glowing Lawyer, was in Al Kamen's "In The Loop" column it today's Washington Post. Key line:

"Sir," the officer explained, "you were not pulled over because of a traffic violation. You were pulled over because you are radioactive."

Have one of those Navy SeAL dive watches with Radium gas inside to keep the hands and face illuminated while diving, they set up rad detectors at an airport I visted.

It was so sensitive that of course it tripped, and after being detained for five minutes, they let me go on my way (with the watch) saying that I shouldn't wear the watch when traveling.
