Select Personal Computing in the first drop down box. Then chose Dell ( as indicated from the info you posted ). then chose the model of your computer ( ie: dimension, etc... ) it should be labeled on the front of your computer.

At first glance it doesnt look like you have much RAM at all (48MB), I am not sure what programs you are running over there but if they are anything recent this may not be enough to run well. I will post back in a few after I resolve a conflict here at my work. Oh, how I love monday mornings, LOL

Edit:
It appears that you are very low on hard drive space also. This would go along with my thoughts earlier that your main problem looks like a lack of memory.

Can't delete

I can't delete my cookies
I ran the viral check the link you gave and found several "loveletter virus"
It is deleting them still.

That’s not good, we had loveletter here as well and I had to restore most of our picture files from a backup. I hope jpg files are not important to your work or you may be in trouble. This virus copies itself into all drive letters it can find on the infected computer. It replaces JPG ( picture files ) and sometimes MP3's too.

Here is a link to information about this virus, print out a copy of this webpage and give it to your IT guy and tell him that you found it. Even though you are deleting the virus on your computer, there may be copies on the network too that he should check, not to mention the registry edits he may need to do to get it off your system completely.

Quote:
This worm searches all drives connected to the host system and replaces the following files:

*.JPG
*.JPEG

with copies of itself and it adds the extension .VBS to the original filename. So PICT.JPG would be replaced with PICT.JPG.VBS and this would contain the worm.

The worm also overwrites the following files:

*.VBS
*.VBE
*.JS
*.JSE
*.CSS
*.WSH
*.SCT
*.HTA

with copies of itself and renames the files to *.VBS.

---quote continued...

This worm also has another trick up it's sleeve in that it tries to download and install an executable file called WIN-BUGSFIX.EXE from the Internet. This exe file is a password stealing program that will email any cached passwords to the mail address MAILME@SUPER.NET.PH

I ran the viral check
it deleted a whole bunch of files
I think most of them were from websites or such
however the frecell cards are still too big
I asked IT guy about it but he says he's too busy to help
I am not so concerned about freecell so much as I think it's a precursor to something else.
I am going to go into my C: Drive and try to delete downloaded files such as Acrophobia and such

Cookies found

I found the file that contains my cookies but i can't delete all of them...some allows me to delete and others won't.

What is that about?

There are two files
One labeled Cookies and one ladbled Temporary Internet Files

It is the files in the Temporary Internet Files that I can't delete...There are over 2,589 files in that folder

If you found your temp internet file folder then click on "edit" and "select all". All of the files and folders should now be in blue. click on file and select "delete". They should all be gone.

Ok I got rid of all the stuff in both my cookies and temp int folders

i checked again to see my c drive properties. The pie opened up a little but not that much.. I gues I really just have to ask the IT guy to buy more RAM...Now I need to go home and do all this on my own computer cause it's even more archaic than my work one.

The extra RAM will help with running more programs at once and a few programs to run faster. It still sounds like you need a larger hard drive too, or maybe a second one to store files on unless you use the network for that.

I was trying to respond earlier but techimo wasnt working for me a few mins ago. Anyway... If you like you can go into Internet Explorere and select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu. Scroll down the list and check the box next to the line that says "Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder When Browser Is Closed" This will clear out *most* of your internet related temp files every time you close out of IE.

It does sound like you need a bigger hard drive. The only other thing I can think of is a page file that is out of control.
