Yahoo blocks saving and pasting?

Hi,

I was trying to copy a map from Yahoo and paste it to Word but Word kept freezing, so I tried to save the page to a single file .mht (have tried the others options too) and then loading it up on Word but IE gave me an error saying the page couldn't be saved! The exact error was:

The Web page could not be saved to the selected location.

Even thought I tried on a specific map, the error comes up even on the Yahoo's map main page.. The link is:

http://maps.yahoo.com

So I was wondering how I can paste maps from Yahoo to Word so I can clean them up and print?

I'm using IE 6 sp1, Office XP, Windows XP.

Have you tried just right-clicking and doing "Save Picture As..."?

Why would you need to save the whole page?
Right click and save the map/pic first just as a jpg or gif file(whatever type it is.) Then open it and copy and paste it.
That worked when I tried it. Maybe I'm not getting what your taking about? You could also try just draging the the pic from the web page to the word doc.

That's an idea (saving the picture) but I forgot to say I'm trying to print driving directions, so it's full of images and text.

I tried to drag the image but it didn't let me to. Word said it didn't have enough memory, but it works perfectly with others pages. I tried on my brother's computer and the same errors showed up and he can't copy/paste the map page either.

Anyway, I'll try to patch this bug later on and I'll just do what you two suggested me for now. Thanks

Well...you could always just do a "print screen"...then clean up the screenshot in some image editing program like Photoshop...

I've printed driving directions from there several times. I usally just hit Ctrl+P and send it direct to the printer.

If you click on "printable version" it will come up with the directions and the maps at the bottom.
