P4 2.4GHz -or- AMD Althlon XP 2600+

Hey everyone, I was wondering what you personally think is better and for what specific reason:

P4 2.4GHz 533MHz FSB
512MB PC133

-OR-

AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 333MHz FSB "Barton"
512MB PC2700

It's because I have the AMD system in another computer that no one uses much, except for the occasional web surfing and word processing, and on my current system, the P4, I like to play games and such. I was thinking about switching the mobo's and cpu's.

Thanks for your time.

I'd go with the AMD if for no other reason than you'd be using DDR, so you wouldn't have the concerns of a bottleneck at your memory.

Alright, thanks for the info. Then I'll switch out the two.

All comments are greatly appreciated.
