Kids Good NIDS software
Anyone using or know of a good Network Intrusion Detection Software for Windows? Preferably free.

BRILLIANT!!!!

Thanks GroundZero, i had been reading alot about snort for Unix and i was getting upset that there are so many free tools for Unix and not windows.

So I'll just add that I played with Snort & the IDSCenter but I never found a good ruleset combination. I always got way too much information.

I tried using a test LAN and with a Nachi infected workstation and teh SNORT machine but could not get IDSCENTER/SNORT to show an alert for it.
