How do you think computer dvd players compare to the real dvd players.

as good or better I would assume. As long as the system is good enuff to run it without skips etc.

Don't ya mean...how does TV resolution compare to monitor resolution?

never had a problem quality wise with mine (using s-video out to my tv). it seems that your graphics card could be the only thing making it worse than tv dvd player. also, if you are wondering because of a purchase, think about whether you wanna watch in front of a monitor or tv, or if you can hook you computer up to your tv....

I was thinking of setting up a home theatre with a projector to watch tv,play pc games and stuff like that I could get a stand alone dvd player but would be easyer to have my dvd player in my computer.

this will be a few months down the road when they introduce the new video cards.
