Kids Question about I.E. 5.5 SP2

On my work computer, I'm running NT4.0 SP6a, and I.E. 5.5 SP2.

When I open a shortcut to a specific web page, the browser does not open to a full window, I have to maximize it. Is there any way to force opening the browser to open to a maximized window?

Uncheck the 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts' on the Internet Options/Advanced tab.

You can also open up one IE window, maximize it and then close IE. After that, any window you open in IE should be maximized, even shortcuts. Usually, the last window size you close in IE will be starting size of the next window that opens in IE.

IE New Window Maximizer Also has a pop up killer. Opens new Outlook Express screens in full screen mode.

Try This Maximize your window then hold down the shift key and close the window then reopen IE again

(not my answer, I stole it from another thread)

I disabled IE maximizer John, and tried your trick..didn't work when clicking a link..like the one above that I left for the IE New Window Maximizer...it opened in a minimized window. I closed it by holding the shift key and clicking exit from the file menu..reopened it again, opened again minimized. IE 6.0
