Your Computer Does Not Have AGP Xcelleration Enabled

Um....how do I enable it?

I formatted a few weeks ago, re-installed XP Pro and since then it seems like I can't use AGP 8x and some games say my AGP Accelleration is not enabled. DXDIAG has the agp acelleration box greyed out....bios says AGP 8x IS enabled...I'm confused.

Have you installed chipset drivers for you mobo. Since you had it before and only formatted, it's probably chipset drivers and NOT a BIOS setting.

Hmm...are the new VIA 4in1's safe?

I heard bad things about then and stayed away because i read on some forums that people had major issues with them.

If anybody can inform me on them that'd be great.

What drivers are you using now? If you don't trust the newest ones use older ones but more up-to-date than what you're using now.
