Digital photography date question

I have a Kodak DX3600 digital camera, and I have a question for all you experts out there.

I usually have the camera put the date stamp on the photos, but often times I don' want it there after it's on there. I've used photoshop to remove the date before, but I would rather have a program that does that for me automatically. Do any of you know if Kodak has a way to remove the date once it's already stamped on?

If not, does anyone know of a program that will put a date stamp ON a picture for me in the lower right corner? If I can find a program that does this, I'll just turn off the date stamp on the camera, and put the stamp on pictures that I want it on. I realize I could do this in photoshop as well, but I really don't want to be doing that much with every photo.

If you want examples of what I'm trying to do, I could upload some pics with the datestamp from the camera, and one that I've taken the datestamp out.

Thanks,

That I know of there is no way to remove it beyond what you are doing, since it is part of the picture then.

My suggestion would be to add it back afterwords if you want it since the file (not picture) is stapmed when taken. There may be software to do this.

All the data is usually embedded in the image file. I do quite a bit of photography and I use a program called PhotoMechanic. It allows you to renumber and organizes your photos several ways. It also allows you to see the embedded data (date, effective aperture, etc. I usually include the date in the image rename and sequential numbering.
