If I have a brand new JB series western digital and I try to install xp, how can I get a NTLDR missing? What gives? I have a clean slate but I can't install windows XP.

I've rummaged through those posts already.. There is no operating system on the HDD. It's brand new. The bios is set to boot from CD also.

What mobo model, and what HD make and model? Is the HD more than 137gb in size? Is HD properly identified in BIOS? If not, perhaps a BIOS update?

Is your XP CD an original, a copy of an original, or "warez"? Does the key start w/ FCKGW . . .

Brand new A78NX -E Deluxe with a 40G Western Digital JB Series HDD. Hynix Ram 333Mhz. Original Bios. I do believe the CD key starts with FCK.. funny you ask.. HDD is identified properly in Bios to best of my knowledge..

No need to go on then. With this thread anyway. The FCKGW key is a know "warez" copy of XP.

Move along now.

Warez = Illegal

You'll get no help w/ that stuff here. People get banned, arrested, and killed for stuff like that. It's bad news man, don't go down that road. Your young, get a job at Sonic and buy a legal copy. If someone sold you that, get on the horn to Uncle Bill and let 'em know where you got it from.
