Real media? Its those real one or real player format, right? As far as I know, it is some sort of *.mpeg format. It's like a video, with pictures. How could you change a video to a mp3 format? Mp3 are those that we listen, normally at Winamp. It's a song format.

Is your rm/ram is a music media or a video?

Real media is not a form of Mpeg AFAIK. Their format is their own propriotary format. Which is why everyone hates them and also why they suck.

I've never seen an rm/ram to mp3 converter. However I have used Tinra to semi-successfully convert real media files to avi files. Once you get to avi it would then be pretty simple to extract your wav / mp3 file using something like Virtual Dub.

there is a way i think. theres a program called total recorder that can capture whatever audio is being played on your computer. if you get that and a mp3 encoding dll (easy to get) then you can play the song in RMP and hit record on total recorder then it will record the song, then take the sound and put it into an mp3 file. if you use the correct settings in total recorder (which i can provide if needed) then i think you wont lose any sound quality (going from digital->digital).
i hope thats not too confusing trust me it works i've tested it.
