Webroot Spysweeper

Hi,

Im a bit of a computer novice and have run into a problem.

I read this article in a magazine about spyware and adware, and after decided to install and run the demo version of Webroot Spysweeper on one of my pc's. I then deleted all the adware and bits it detected.

After this my pc will now not load any webpages on internet explorer, connect to kazaalite, or msn messenger etc...

Did i remove something i shouldnt have? and if so is there an easy repair?

Thanks for your time.

Maccers

I use Ad-Aware and Spy-Bot... both of these (freeware, BTW)_ allow you to undo changes you make. Maybe Spysweeper has the same "roll-back" capability?

For Kazaa, it doens't work without the included Spyware. It's how they make money.

For the others, I don't know. It seems kind of weird.

I've come across some spyware/adware programs, such as Hotbar, that will break IE if not removed properly. It can also break Outlook in the same way. Possibly, you ran the cleaning software while a window was open using the spyware/adware( toolbars, searchbars, etc..) and this caused your problem.

Try the "rollback" feature and then run spysweeper again, making certain all internet browsers and other windows are closed.
