Crackling Audio...
It started when I reinitialized my hard drive thursday, but it doesnt always do it, it does it during a few in-game songs and an mp3, thats all. But still, its annoying. Ive done everything I can think of except reinstall XP again. Ideas?

check for the latest drivers for your motherboard/sound/etc..

check your audio cable connections. sometimes the failure is in the wires and terminals.

is it an onboard sound? try a pci sound card in that case.

1. Last time I did BIOS update, I messed up the flash. So Id prefer not go that route.

2. Its an Audigy, I should have said that earlier.
