I have made some websites for things that werent overly important in geocities and i have been told that geocities isnt very good. Where else can i find free websites like geocities? thanks.

^^ Yeah,that is VERY true.When I used to design sites my friends and I used www.netfirms.com dont know if their still free there (havent been there in years) but its not bad for a free one.They had no pop-ups (wich are very anoying) just a banner ad.

Edit - Just went there and they still offer free hosting,theres a link for it at the very bottom of the the page.

if you go to www.dot.tk you can get a free domain name, (ie www.something.tk). i don't know how good they are but i guess its worth a shot

www.dot.tk is actually only a redirection site. It offers no hosting.

www.web1000.com doesn't have ads and you get 50mb of space. you do have to use ftp to upload stuff though and you dont get any of that stuff to build pages online like at geocities and all, but why would you use that when you can get better editors for use on your own computer.
