My new graphics card wont work for my emachine T2085
I bought a Geforce fx 5200 AGP today for my computer and when i installed it.... i turned my computer on and my moniter, but my moniter had a blank screen. My friends have told me to go to BIOS and disable the onboard graphics but i cannot find it, i searched everywhere! I have been getting extremely annoyed about this because i have no clue what is wrong, can someone please help me. I tried checking the faq section at emachines site..but it says the section has either been deleted or outdated so i couldnt find anything out there. I am open to any ideas. Thanks. Btw.. i have windows xp , and i have a L7VMM2 Motherboard.

This may seem obvious, but make sure you plug in the monitor in the new video card, not the onboard.......
I have done that before......

Need emach model number, specs, etc?
Do you mean you can't find how to get into the BIOS or you can't find how to disable it in the bios?
Could be a jumper on the mobo.

Make sure you have the card seated all the way. It doesn't look like your board has a jumber to disable it. If you don't see it in the BIOS, then it probably gets disabled when you install the AGP card. Try removing it, and then putting it back in. Be sure to screw it down before plugging in the monitor.
Do you get any beeps when you turn it on?

You'll see listed here that some machines "Auto detect", I would say yours is the same.
