Fuzzy Mic help plz!!

Hey I play americas army and our clan uses Team speak. My mic/headset is $20. The mic is very fuzzy I guess while I am playing AA but when I minimize it most of the fuzziness goes away. I really want to fix this problem. I have tried everything I can think of. I want to try all my options b4 I go spend a lot of money on a really nice mic/headset. TY

Did you try adjusting the volume in your settings for the mic? Sometimes you will have to test the mic first or you can test the mic in order to get that fuzziness out. You may want to check all your mic settings before you do anything else.

I had the same problem. I have a cheap apple mic thats very old. I thought it was the mic that was fuzzy, but really it was my sound card. You can do 2 things. If you have winxp goto control panel --> Sound and audio devices --> click on audio tab --> click the Volume button under sound recording. volume control should pop up, goto options and click advaned options and then click advanced under microphone. --> if mic boost is enabled, disable it. That will take the fuzziness down but also bring the volume down. If that dont work or you already did that, I suggest that you buy a new sound card. If you already have a nice sound card, then i donno.
