Good DVD viewer? (spyware-free, freeware)

Title says it all. I just need something to watch DVD's on my computer. Don't want to use the one Blockbuster gives me if at all possible. Just want high sound and video quality.

Got Two Towers DVD for Christmas.

Xine is the best DVD player I have ever used, but I'm not sure if it works for Windows. It takes some work to get running, but is fast and fully-featured (and stable as a rock ).

Beyond that, try doing a google for MikSoft DVD player. Pretty sure it doesn't have spyware (may want to run a check just to make sure), but it is very simplistic and a little sluggish.

I use MSIDVD in Windows, which is an MSI'ified version of WinDVD. Works very well.

If you are using Windows 98,2000 or XP... I believe the latest version of Windows Media Player (v.9) plays DVD's.

Are you kidding me? WMP SUCKS. Audio quality is horrible, video quality is horrible, and the audio-video sync is off. I just tried it and it works, but the quality sucks and the video has this weird green line on the right side. I know the DVD is fine because it works through my surround sound system.
