I severely dislike cheaters... even single player cheating is pointless.. might as well just have someone e-mail you the end video and skip paying 50 bucks for the game..

But online cheaters are the worst sort as they ruin your game as well. Diablo 1 was real bad because the players were stored on your local machine! There were not many PK restrictions either.. someone could just whomp you in the back at any time and loot ALL of your stuff.

D2 is a step up from D1 in the way of cheats. I have not played D2 in quite some time so i'm not sure as to the current situation. There have been many a time where I would have taken great pleasure in causing physical harm on said cheaters

Ohh I loved Diablo1! I spent some time with a group of legit players that eventually turned their backs on me. That's when I became an MK (Monster killer).

This question is not just to D2 that we should concern about, but to other games as well.

I love playing fair, original and clean, so that we would know how skilled are we in the game. Thus, bringing you to appreciate the original game and will also let you twice the fun.

Cheating in D2 only proves (among others) this: how little actual gaming skill one has, how small of an attention span one has and how weak and ineffective ones patience muscle is, imo.

Meaning? Do you mean duper, as in duplicating items?

I dunno, sometimes its fun to just mess around with cheats, especially after you beat the game. Kinda like in the old games like Goldeney for n64, where you had to complete the missions in certain amounts of time to unlock cheats... got more satisfaction out of using them that way.

However, in the case of d2 where you're on a closed server and any attempt to cheat is hacking, then thats bull and people shouldn't do it.

I always been fully legit, no hacked items, but also no dupes, however i do have duped runes now... you just can't get around it anymore.

Anyway i once had a hacked item in my own inventory, someone asked on a other forum if someone could help him mule, so i come in his game, he throws down stuff, and then i see him drop a hex charm, so i pick it up, go to gheed, and sell it while gambling, and then left the game, he was really pissed and complained about it on the forum, so i told him not to transfer hacked items because that forum is based on legit people (common dupes were also banned there) and when he complained more he got himself banned.

Anyway i'm legit, and i did most of my dueling in 76Legit, which is a dueling league for legit people.

I agree with DJ icer. It's not just a D2 problem.

I've seen a crapload; from speed and head-shot hacks in CounterStrike, to artilery range hacks in Command and Conquer.

Cheating will be an inevitable part of the internet community, which is EXACTLY why it can't hold a candle a home-network, or those pay as you play lan places that you go with your friends.

I think Blizzard is in the forefront of fighting cheaters though. About 3-6 months ago, they permanantely deleted thousands of accounts on people that were caught cheating or trying to hack on Battle.net. They obviously didn't get them all, but it's a start.

Hopefully the rest of the gaming world follows suit. There's not much more aggrivating than being beaten by some1 that can't play by the rules.

welll what i mean is that thats there a new mini game in d2 that we ppl call it
"THE DROP GAME"

but i noticed that when i play ppl cheat on me by clicking on me while i drop exp: a lidless or occy

and that pisses me off. @#$^ them

but now i also realize that thers a new hack out called grab it for 1.10 and they drop there stuff and steal off ours.
