New card on dual-boot system - just checking

Going to install a new video card on my dual-boot W2K - 98SE system.

Actually not new but a "hand me down" from my son's box after he got a new card for Christmas.

Just to make sure I'm doing this right:

1. Uninstall from 2K and re-boot.
2. Boot into 98SE and uninstall.
3. Shut down and put in new card.
4. Boot into 2K and install.
5. Re-boot into 98 and install.

Sound right?

Bill

I don't think it matters the order as far as uninstall/install, just be sure to uninstall from both BEFORE booting w/ the new card. And make sure you don't boot back into one or the other that you've already uninstalled from before changing the card.

Not that any of us has ever done that . . .

i would say to see if it says whether to install the new drivers before changing cards or not. i've heard that some do it this way and others want you to install the drivers after changing the card.
