Weird message after xp boot

ok, im on a laptop runnin XP.
every time i start-up or reboot i get this message:

windows has just recovered from a serious error!
click here for blah blah blah...

it goes on to give me the following:

error signature
BCCode : 1000007f
BCP1 : 00000008
BCP2 : 80042000
BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000
OSVer : 5_1_2600
SP : 1_0
Product : 768_1

then...

files included in error report
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\mini1010104-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\USER\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysd ata.xml

so thats what im seeing everytime i boot up...
i find this strange b/c im not having ANY probs using the machine prior to or during shutdown.

in an unrelated (???) prob. (since rectified?) i found this w/ ad-aware... Kontiki.exe (was in as a regkey.)

and these w/ NAV... dummy.class & phaser.class (i forgot to write down where these were at.)

both have since been eradicated...

well, thats that. any ideas as to why the error?

Supposedly SP1 was suppose to fix it, but I think there might be another patch via Windows Update.

M$ has a "workaround" on this page but check Windows Update as well.

ok... i already have the OS up to date.

i did the "workaround" towards the bottom of the page.
no go... not even that warning that was supposed to appear when i hit "set". no nothing in fact. i change it to "no paging file"
close out all the windows, then go back in there and its back to where it was. (like i didnt do a darn thing).

You should contact M$ then since you're running a BETA SP2
