From AT to ATX

I have an old server tower with a large 300W AT power supply. I'd like to chop the P8 & P9 connections and attach a P1 ATX connector. Anyone see a problem with this?

ATX P/S are very different from AT. You may be able to get it to power up but the shut down feature won't work. Some older motherboards have dual power capability with power connectors for AT or ATX power supplies. BTW, that's a hefty power supply for being AT.
