KOP,
I have to admit, I don't keep up with the latest and greatest so I don't even recognize half of these things and many more may not have an opinion on things they're not familiar with either.

This poll isn't exactly fair since 2004 isn't even close to over. We might cure cancer this year for all you know .

True-2004 isn't over yet, but just as a projection...
I think PCI Express will be a GREAT thing, especially for overclocking. PCI bus speeds tend to limit the O/C process for many people...

Stable and fast 64-bit Win OS and 64-bit apps/games... to take advantage of cheaper-in-2004, mainstream-in-2004 Athlon64, and Athlon64 FX51 & FX53 CPUs.

I don't understand; are people trying to overclock their sound cards or something?

PCI express is a graphics card interface like agp, that it will replace shortly.

I read there will be a new wireless networking standard coming out in 2004 that will have a range of 30 miles. I think 816.xx Then you can hook up everybody you know. I think this will make a bigger difference than another chip that is a little faster or a better video card [again]

Isn't that a BAD thing though? If your network has a wider range, that means there are more nerds who can steal your bandwidth.
