Where to buy Sheets of Chrome...

I need to buy sheets of chrome or polished aluminium for my latest mod... I am not sure where to buy them, all I have come up with so far is parts for motorcycles and cars..

Help Wanted

Thanks in Advance

Keep in mind you won't actually be buying "sheeted chrome". You'll be looking for either polished aluminum, polished stainless or another sheet metal that is chrome plated. (the latter is less likely as chrome plating needs a fairly consistent shape to stick to and thing sheeting would cause it to flake off rather easily)

The other option would be "plastichrome" but that would be over a different surface. I believe your best bet in a forum like this one will probably end up being polished aluminum!

Either that or you will have to have whatever it is that you want chromed by a professional shop. Call around to shops that do Electroplating and see what the prices would be.

I prefer to stick with my Polyester Fiber sheets. I'd think chrome sheets would be rather cold at night.

It would be great if chrome was cold at night! I am plating my DVD-ROM and Floppy and PSU...

I'd just use some old stainless steel. If you find some from an old commercial refridgerator it would work rather nicely. i have several sheet sitting in my room for some reason from an old refridgerator... they're shiny... I think I'll hang them on my walls... yeah, stainless is an awesome metal. I'd use that. It's more expensive than aluminum though =\
