NF7-S and IDE RAID

Okies, I recently purchased an Abit NF7-S motherboard along with 2 WD 80Gb HDD's (non-SATA). The problem is that I can't seem to get it to work under RAID. The motherboard says it supports RAID but for exact words it quotes 'Support 2 ports SATA 150 RAID 0/1'.

Does this mean that it only supports RAID configs from SATA drives only?

If so, any fixes or changes that can be made to go around tis problem? :S

Alot of motherboards only offer raid for SATA now.... I dont have any specific experiance with this board, but It appers that its only RAID for SATA.

IDE RAID 0 doesnt offer that much performance boost nehow.... RAID 1 gives you increased reliability but also has alot of overhead.

I dont believer theres any workaround persay... b/c in order to have RAID you need to have a RAID controller, and if theres no IDE RAID controller on the board the only way to add one is PCI (which is going to be inheritly really slow ne ways).
