Kids Which Ram with the Barton 2500+

I am buying a MSI K7N2 DELTA-L motherboard and a Barton 2500+. I have some old sticks of ram in 2100, but what should I buy instead at a higher rate, or just keep using 2100 and get more of the same? Would the 2100 hinder performance? I dont plan on overclocking. But I do plan on buying a 9600xt or pro the next month if that matters. Thanks for any info. This is the place I will be ordering from www.vibecomputers.com they seem to have decent prices and I have heard good things about them on the web.

vibecomputers has a 6 month rating of 7.88 and a lifetime rating of 8.84. Check resellerratings for the reviews to find out what people think and what some potential problems might be. They do read the reviews so make sure you post one after your transaction. This could save you alot of stress down the road. Get at least some PC2700 memory as the Barton 2500+ runs at 333Mhz and PC2100 only runs at 266MHz. Buy 2 sticks to take advantage of your motherboards dual channel setup.

well first off, Happy New Year!!!!

the Barton 2500 is a 333 MHZ so it will run nice with some pc 2700 and your board is supportive of 400 MHZ so i would not go higher than pc 3200 as far as the 2100 hindering performance im not sure you would notice with normal applications but if you are one for benchmarking and such youll see some improvement. what do you use your computer for ? gamin, graphic design , general surfin photo/video editing ect..? what operating system are you going to run on it ?2100 is not bad for most things IMO id have at least 512mb of it .

EDIT*im too slow

Normal night-time maintanence and updating. Try back in a little while and they'll be back up.

I will be mostly gaming, surfing the internet doesnt need much anyways. So with the dual ram thing. I notice you can buy the ram in a stick where it is dualled (like 2 on 1) or something like that? Is that the same as just pluggin in say two seperate 256 sticks.
