nforce2 drivers giving me big trouble!!! help!

ok i just got a nf7-s and 2500+. the problem is that after installing the nforce 2 drivers (tried 3.13 and the ones that came on cd) and rebooting, i get a blue screen for less then one second and then the computer reboots, this will keep on happening. i have tried to reinstall windos 3 times now but with the same results. i know that the nvidia IDE drivers are giving troubles so i never istalled them but i installed all of the other drivers. PLEASE HELP ME OUT. hear are my system specs

athlon 2500
abit nf7-s mobo
256 mb pc 2700 kingston value ram
maxtor 40 gb 7200 rpm hd
asus geforce FX 5200.

ok somehow i managed to get into safe mode now (couldn't b4) and i have uninstalled all of the nvidia drivers. now im into windows. i need help!! i don't want to reinstall windows again.

I am not sure if this will solve your problems but if your running Windows XP then install service pack 1 before you install any nforce 2 drivers or any other drivers for that matter. Alot of new hardware support are resolved in service pack 1.
