How to delete backgrounds in PSP8

I have Jasc paint shop pro 8 and I need to know how to delete my white background plus I want some input on my logo

shabow... what site is the logo for? do you have a link to the website? I like the logo lots... its a bit blurry though... like the red/blue flam. maybe try and clear that up? i have PaintShop Pro 8 as well... not too sure about the whole background stuff... but i can definately look in to it!

its not blurry in psp8 but for some reason its blurry in every other program

thats really weird... I'm just heading out the door right now... i saved the image that you posted on here, and i'll work on it later on...

when you saved it in paintshop pro there are 2 settings for the qualilty that you save it in... what setting did you use?

If you are trying to get a transparent background you will have to save as .gif. .jpg (jpeg) doesn't support transparency.

I see what u did with the pic crystal but I want this to be a clean looking logo sorry but I do like it but for the type of company it doesnt match good try though

In a case like this, with a simple logo, what you want to do is recreate the logo not try to extract it from the background.

These are example only and are by no means perfect.

recreated on tranparent background with white matte in GIF format (low quality):
