Linksys NAT Bypass

Linksys: 4 Port Wireless Router (BEFW11S4 version 2)

I understand my router is indirectly a NAT. I am running into problems because I need to make a dual-homed Internet node out of my pc. I need to somehow tell the router to NOT translate packets coming from my second address. So what I am looking to do is turn off the NAT for my second address and leaving the NAT working for all the 192.168 addresses. So I would like to only NAT 192.168 style addresses, everything else to let it go through without altering it. I do not know if this could be done through VPN or any other way. Thank you for your help!

nope, everything that hits it gets NATed. By nature it will only be able to route addresses that are 192.168.1.x since anything else would be a different subnet.

I don't think I understand exactly what you're trying to accomplish. But, maybe a DMZ would do what you want?

(Siliconjunkie, you seem to understand the situation.. would a DMZ work?)

I'm assuming you lease two IPs from your ISP? Is that what you mean by "second address"?

Wouldn't it work if he put a HUB in between his modem and the router and other PC?

His second PC would have it's own IP and then the other IP would go to the router . . .

That's what I was thinking. If he has two IPs, put a switch between the modem and the router. CAT5 from modem to uplink port on switch. Then line 1 from switch to router to NIC#1(192.168.x.x), line 2 directly from switch to NIC#2(real world IP). Make sure the NIC attached to the router has no gateway assigned and all your internet traffic will pass through the direct line and not the router. All your local 192.168.x.x traffic will pass through the router.

EvilRicks idea would work. Just make sure that the interface pointing at the linksys doesnt have a gateway or has a higer metric than the other.

I have a program that spoofs a second IP, so when it goes out of the system it will show a different IP and when it comes back in it remembers what your actual IP is. The program works like a charm if I do not plug in my router. Even in DMZ, it still does not work.
