holdenskickfords is on a distinguished road
help with choosing my graphics card.

ok... i have a small budget of under 100$ (australian) and these are the three cards that came under that. i was wondering which would be the best one to choose.

1. ATI RADEON 9200-SE GIGABYTE 128meg DDR TV out (ALSO GeXcube)

2. GeForce4 MX440-8x ALBATRON 128meg DDR Ram 128bit TV out MX480EP (ALSO ennyah digicolor and auriga)

3. GeForceFX JETWAY FX5200 128meg DDR, TV out, 8x AGP Direct X 9 (ALSO albatron)

is there any way that you could obtain a geforce 4200ti for under 100$ australian? if you could, it beats all those card easily... dx8 and dx9.

Well the cheapest Ti 4200 i could find was 189$ aus...

What is your current video card? Those card's are pretty low end.

I would choose the 5200 though. Some games can't be run on a gforce4 mx. The 9200 SE is at the end of the low end sector.

If you cant get a Ti4200 for under $100 (or 132.979 AUD), your best bet is that 128MB 5200.

ok ill keep lookin for a ti4200 though, maybe i can stretch the budget a little ;-)

go with the fx5200. no questions about it. MX 440's suck...check out the prince of persia system requirments (they say GeForce MX series not supported) and anything with SE after it is crap (SE stands for sucky edition)
