160GB=128GB

I bought yesterday more HD space. It was a 160GB seagate, to go along with my 40GB WD and 120GB seagate.

The compaq bios the computer has, only recognizes the 160GB drive as 128GB. I'm pretty sure it would be solved by a newer bios, but there isn't one.

Is there any way to make the computer see the full capasity of the drive?

(It's a compaq ex p1.0, latest bios dated jul2001)

You need to either download IDE overlay software from Seagate, or install an IDE card.

Found this on the Seagate website, hope it helps;
