Does anyone know where I can buy a domain name for cheap?

I was looking for under 10 bucks a year..

I found a site called www.mydomain.com that has them for $8.50, anyone ever heard of them before?

Is there really a "bad" company to buy a domain from?

The bad ones to buy from are ones that drag their feet when making changes. You want something that has a "live" control panel so you can make changes easily.

Alot of people like godaddy, but they are akward to me.

I have used godaddy.com and they are awesome. They have an easy to use interface where you can change everything yourself and service is super quick.

I don't know about web.com but I'm 100% that they are at least reliable.

I second GoDaddy.com, but I use to have EV1 internet and they were had good prices / support. So you may want to try that instead.
