Pioneer DVR 106D - FORMAT DVDRW?

Fellow Members:

I am wondering: can one format a DVDRW and utilize a "Drag 'n Drop" procedure to store data?

I use Roxio Plat for DirectCD (for "drag 'n drop?" on CDRWs): can I use it or a similar program with DVDRWs?

I recently installed a new HDD and am curious if I should load up my Roxio?

My DVD XCOPY doesn't seen to have such a function ... i.e. formatting.

Thx.

I'm pretty sure you need to go Roxio v6 for DVD format/write support... the "SE" version that came boxed with my Plextor 708A can burn DVDs, but doesn't appear to have that drag-and-drop to DVD feature... maybe the Platinum v6 does?

Hmm .. Interesting. I'll go ahead and load my Rozio with it's updates. Perhaps there are more updates at the Roxio site.

Thx.

If you are using XP just right click and the option to erase disk is there, this appears to format as well

john_phoenix...
XP can do this for DVDs? I knew it could for CDs.
