OMG.... Computer Died NEED HELP STAT 911

Ok... Check this out. We have a PC in my office, an IBM Netvista...

You know... one of those peices of crap that is a computer built into an LCD monitor...

Well the hard drive controller took a dump... It burned.

We salvaged a controller from one of the other machines (IBM CrapVista too) and got it working... For a little while. It ran really slow la da da... Long enough for us to grab all the files.

Well, it took a dump again, then we found out that someone has been using QuickBooks to do accounting on it!!!

I'm about to throw this POS away, but I need to recover the quickbooks data. I have it saved on another drive, but I don't know how to import it into quickbooks!

Well... the person that said they got the files didnt....

I have to recover them from the computer.

NTOSKRNL is missing which really bugs because I can't copy it from a CD-R that I created to the system32 folder. I get an access is denied when accessing it through the recovery console. As a matter of fact, I can't CD or CHDIR into ANY directory below the root.... What gives?
