Toshiba Satellite repair

I just done some trading around and recieved my old Toshiba Satellite 1605 CDS. Does anyone know where I can get take apart or exploded view schematics for it? The PCMCIA slot needs repaired in order to work again, but I cant seem to get the case apart to get to the mobo. I havent checked the Toshiba site, but I'll look into it tomorrow.

If it's anything like the Tecra, the last screw will be under the label on the bottom. Also, if it's getting close to the end of the warranty period, watch out. We've experienced Tecra's dropping dead almost to the day of the warranty expiration.

Well, its well out of warranty (its at least 3 years old), so Im prepared to take the risk. I think I found the screw or another on that I missed the last time I tried to take it apart. Theres one in the area where the ram sits (like after you take the cover off for it). I'll check under the labels and see what happens.

Oh, would it also be possible to add a CDRW or DVD drive in place of the cdrom if I managed to get it open?

Thanks for the JP, I found that last link while googling for it. I sure hope the mobo never goes bad in it. $400+..... ouch!
