Is it worth it to get Proxim stuff over Netgear?

I have a choice:

$41 Netgear

Or

$81 Proxim Gold

Is it worth my money to get the Proxim Gold card in terms of speed and range? I can't seem to find any reviews...

Cnet has a review of the Proxim Orinoco card. Editor's choice.

I have used the Orinoco Gold 802.11a/b card (not the 'g' you wish to buy), and was satisfied with it. On a side note, this is the 3rd name change of the company since I bought the card in 2000. (Lucent Technologies, Agere, Proxim)

I'm not much help, but hopefully I can get some wheels turning in other people's brains.

Oops, I edited it so the links were correct.

Edit - Well it does seem the Gold card outsted the Netgears by a margin, even if the model numbers were different. Still need some other people's opinions though. Thanks anyways!

I use Proxim cards and they work fine. I haven't used Netgear's though.
