router blocking site

Anyone with experience on overcoming a blocked site (times out-i.e. "The page cannot be displayed") through a router? I am having this experience with both a D-Link router and I switched to a Belkin with the same results. If I eliminate the router and connect directly through the cable modem..no problem.

It's not really as much about the site as it is about determining why it isn't connecting. All other sites connect. I've tried all security settings in IE, all firewall issues in IE and router settings with no solution. One of the computers I'm using that this problem occurs on is a laptop and when I am at a friends hous I connect to the site through her router (D-Link) with no problem...hurry, I'm popping brain cells tring to un-bugger this...

Would these happen to be secure sites that you can't connect to? Such as https?

No, they are http sites. Nothing out of the ordinary. I've contacted the site admin and he has no answers as to why this is happening. He suggested contacting D-link but after the same thing happening on two different routers, it seems like it could be a computer setting....except if I take the laptop to a friends house (with a D-link router) it works. Aaaaggghhh!
