Booting from usb harddisk.

Anyone knows how to make the usb harddisk bootable?

As for the bios side, I already set first boot device to usb-hd.

Thanks.

are you talking about an external hdd in an external enclosure via usb, or a usb flashdrive?

peanut linux is only 30mb...should be small enough for a 256mb flash drive.
be aware though...flash drives generally have a 10,000cycle limit. meaning it can be written to 10,000 times before it could fail. though normally insignificant, using your flash drive for a hdd would make you reach that limit quickly.

Thks guys, i just wanna try it out as i am having a usb 2.0 harddisk now.

Maybe next time, I can forget about booting up from cd or floppy anymore as my 20gb harddisk can store all version of os and lots of programs......

As that, I can install any version of os from the harddisk....
