outlook express address books?

how can i get my old address book off an old hard drive? and how can i get my favorites off the same thing??

The favorites is just the favorites folder....really all you have to do, say to bring em over to a new machine....is just drag the old folder and drop it on the c:\windows folder..it will ask if you want to replace the current fave folder with the old one....OR..if you also have some faves you want to save in the current fave folder....just copy everything in the old fave folders and paste em into the current fave folder.

The outlook address book is just in the c:\windows\Application data\microsoft\address book folder. Its just the "comp name".wab file..it'll fit on a floppy. Then you just go into the new OE and do the import procedure etc.

Of course, you must have the old drive connected as a slave in order to do a drag `n drop.

If you know where the favorites and address book is located (and can browse to it).. you can import either one into your new OS. (or..drag and drop..either one).
