Help plz, Speakers...

I have some Logitech z-680's and there is a buzzing noise from the sub-woofer. I have been to the logitech site for troubleshooting and nothing works. So I went to RMA them to newegg.com and got the RMA #. I put the RMA in on the 22nd and it has to be back by the 5th. Didn't want to send it off b4 Christmas. Anyways went to the local UPS store to send it off and they said it was gonna be $70 bucks to get it there on the 5th!!!!! So does anybody know of a place that would repair speakers?? Like Circuit City etc. It would be greatly appreciated.

Why does it have to be there by the 5th. Call and get a new rma #.

hmm...Does newegg.com have a 30 day thing b4 u can't return it??

EDIT: BTW do I have to call or can I just get another one online??

I think neweegg has 30 day limitations... but they might extend it if u called them and explained the situatiion. I've found that calling newegg for RMA's works better. On the phone they tend to waive the restocking fee if theres a problem with the product, whereas online its generally 15% automatically.

I seem to remember someone having similar problems with these speakers and it ended up being a sound card issue, but I dont have a link to back it up =(

They're probably under warranty with logitech arent they? Perhaps you should try calling them rather than newegg

I don't have it hooked up to a soundcard in my computer...using my XBOX, DVD player and PS2 and I have the same problem with all 3.

Either that, or RMA from Logitech directly (if you can do that).

I'm sure Logitech has at least on year warranty. I'm pretty sure my MX Duo and joystick does.

I went to the Logitech site and it said to return them to where I got them. I have only had the speakers for about 10 days so I am well within the time period to send them back.
