SuSE Linux 7.0 Pro - Opinions???

Have always used Windows. Just picked up a copy of Linux 7.0 Pro. I would like to get some input from Linux users as to what hardware requirements and install tricks to use before I start setting up a system. Furthermore, is this a good OS to use (in general)?

Thanks,

Al

v7 is a bit old...9 is the current version. running v7 shouldn't be a problem unless you have very new hardware which may not have driver support.

suse is one of the best and easiest to use distro available. the only knock against them is that you cannot d/l v9 for free from the web....it is only available as a FTP install. ISOs of older versions can be.

suse, mandrake, redhat (fedora)...they're all good.
