Right now i got 512mb pc2700 memory is it worth adding another 512mb of the pc2700 memory to get a total of 1024. All I basicaly do is play games.

well it depends, are you lagging or slowing down when you start up some other programs due to not enough memory? If so then yeah, I would recommend another 512mb. I only have 512 and it seems to work fine for me when I play games.

Win 98, no.
Win 2000 or XP, yes if you are using all your mem when playing games.

Well for games it's generally 512mb is the sweet spot, unless you have lots of memory used elsewhere like wasted in uneeded services and taskbar icons of open programs.
You wouldn't see much improvement unless you use more than 200mb just idling, in which case it might be a good idea to disable automatic updates, windows time sync, and any other uneeded services.
Also the taskbar icons that you dont need while playing games should be closed if they dont serve any purpose.
