Cellphone Thread
Do you use a cellphone nowadays?
If so which brand?
Which model?
Tell us your experiences, thoughts, complains, etc
*Thread made because of curiosity*
Recently bought a Nokia 5210 cellphone. I am very happy with it, its an 'Active Choice' since it resist water, falls, and more. Have had various of cellphones but actually like Nokia best. My dad had a Motorola, was pretty expensive but IMO a piece of crap. Did have good voice quality though and you could hear the people you were talking to well, and the telephonebook was great, but was not worth the money. I have had few experiences with Samsung cellphones but for what I have seen and heard its a great brand for cellphones. Sony Ericsson, which is from my country, is mediocre IMO, nice quality and all but lacks somethings. Most of their cellphone look like toys IMO. The finish brand is IMO the best one for cellphones. LG has some but never actually tried them. Alcatel, a spanish brand, has released some nice models, but is still in process. Sagem has always been there but never really got popular. Siemens has got bigger in popularity the last years but I think they need more experience. I will stay with Nokia until I see that its worth the change.

Never seen or tried a Toshiba cellphone. didnt even know they made. Maybe thats because they do not ship them to this part of the world. Saw a picture of the cellphone though, looks like a nice little thing.

| This is the cell phone I have. I got it for my birthday. It really works nice. I like the color and its a lot easier to navigate than my old junk phone. It also has better reception and stronger signal with a battery that will last for 5 days at least without a charge. Batteries have come a long way.
Only complaint is that service is so much money. Its T-Mobile by the way.

I use a Nokia 3560. Battery life seems a lot better than my old Motorola phone. Having a color screen is cool but it's really low res. One time the phone locked up. I had to take the battery out to reset it.

I really dont see the point of having a color screen in your cellphone. Sure it can look nice and all but IMO its worthless. Maybe for pictures and stuff its nice, but.. Dont know, I dont like the idea. My dad has a Sony Ericsson cellphone with color screen. really bad resolution, image quality and contrast. I think its a 256 color screen. The new Nokia cellphone have 4096 color screen. But I got impressed at the Samsung cellphones with 65.000 color screen. Excellent image. But again I think its worthless. The point of a cellphone is getting away nowadays IMO just of the fact that the brands are not thinking that a cellphone is used for the sake of calling and recieving calls, now a cellphone to be good it has to have color screen, integrated camera, Internet (WAP), etc. Instead of thinking of improving the quality of receptions and signal, or why not battery life? Anyways the models vary from here and America. Guess its because here most are GSM cellphones or not?

I have a freeby nokia phone, forgot what model it was, but it doesn't have no color screen, no camera, jsut your basic cell phone. I don't need al of those extra features. I just like this small free cell phone. Plus it was free. Free is nice.

im happy with my motorola v60i. of course the antenna is about the size of the phone and i broke it twice, so i got a stub antenna put on and an antenna booster inside. now i get great reception. as for all the fun stuff that the newer phones can do, thats why i have a pocket pc and a 20gig mp3 player... no need for my cell phone to do that stuff...

I got my sony ericsson t68i with color screen and a million other options. didn't get the camera due to the added cost plus the added cost of sending pix but I got unlimited calling from AT&T for $100/mo I wouldn't own another cellphone without a color screen. IMO it looks 100x better than the old screens

i have a nokia 3595. It's ok I guess. I like the color screen. The best part about it for me was that it was free. My mom went to the cingular store and demanded they give us something since we have used cingular/bellsouth for years. So they gave the whole family new phones =)
