Hello Everyone,
Like the topic says, some of my games don't work online. Well, they do and they don't...
For example, I have a game called Axis & Allies, it is a pc remake of the popular board game, and was made in 1998. Anyways, I have this game installed on my 2 computers which are networked, and they can connect via IP just fine, but when I try to connect with my brother from his house via IP, we are unable to establish a connection, the connection just times out.
And another game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, I play this game all the time on the Westwood Online servers, but lately I've been trying to connect to others through that Gamespy service. And in Gamespy you have to start a room, then when the game is launched you all goto the NETWORK section within the game and you're supposed to see eachother there and set up a game. But, I can never, ever see anyone else in the lobby, just little'ol me
I've been thinking that maybe I have some sorta firewall or some network protection preventing certain connections to certain games under certain circumstances. I can tell you right now that I have NOT installed any firewall or anything of the sort.
Anyways, I'm new to this network thing, I just got mine set up about a week ago, so I need someone to explain the solution to this ever so irritating problem.
I am using Windows XP with SP1.
Thank you for your future help.
