Convert Ribbon IDE to Rounded

I have seen Ribbon IDE Cables converted to Rounded IDE Cables. Anyone know a suitable site or anything that helps me with this?

thanks in advance

I think you just slice every 5 wires apart with a razor blade. U hafta be careful because the wires are so thin etc its easy to expose the wire inside the plastic coating.

what you need : electrical tape
razor blades
time

use the razor blades to cut between the wires.... take your time with it dont rush. when you done youll have 80 wires dangling around. use the electrical tape to bundle them together.

As long as you don't need them to look all pretty and girly, then it's pretty simple. You don't need no razor blades and really you don't even need any tape. And if you do use tape, don't use electrical tape. Soon as it gets warm it starts coming undone and gets sticky crap all over the place.

A few small zip-ties will do the trick. See examples:

Wow! Alot of replies so quickly!
Well thank you i think i may coat them in UV sensitive braids too as my power is already like that. Im on such a small budget for my new pc so im going for ribbons for about $1.99 instead of the 10 buck rounded.

Thanks!

Out, Looks like that second pick you posted IS electrical tape. Would the "sticky crap" be first hand experience?
The first Pic that Out posted is the simplest and safest method, I never screwed around with cutting the ribbon cable.
These days I order rounded cables from SVC. At a couple of dollars a piece it's cheap and easy.
