just thought i'd say that i am a happy santa cruz turtle beach owner....best card i ever purchased.

fyi...earlier this year, i needed to add a sound card to a secondary system i was building for my bedroom...went w/a cheaper hercules fortissimo card which i had heard good things about. well, the sound is pretty good on the hercules card, but well every now and then, the thing BSOD's on me. the error points to the sound card driver. well i've tried every driver under the sun and it still crashes randomly. never had any problems with santa cruz drivers or compatibility.

I bought one a while back...got a great deal from circuit city....no complaints....although I am definitely not a power user of the card...I only have it hooked up to a cheap set of speakers/subwoofer. I bought it mainly to get the decent line in to transfer some digital music off of a digital 8 track....of course I did it thru the analog in, but.

Anyway, all I can testify to is it installs and runs with no issues, lol.

I had the Montego 2 quadzilla and it was a great card. I had issues with it crashing my system, but I figured it had to do with the onboard sound on an older IBM system. Works fine in my brothers computer, he's quite happy with it. I like the software that came with mine alot.

I have one(Santa Cruz). Not using it right now as I switched it for an Audigy2 Platinum. Having regrets and might put it back in.Creative , their drivers and me never got along.

Thought this was an old post, this question has been kicked around many times.
Anyhow, have had this card for awhile now, as PresterJohn has said this card is rock stable as far as drivers.
As far as sound quality, topnotch. I have the SC digital out running to my 'PC' HT system, a Denon AVR-2400 with a Denon AVD-2000 decoder with a pair of Klipsch KSB 3 speakers and a Mission sub. Crystal clear with no added anything, and you would never no MP3's could sound so good. Everyone that listens to the setup can not beleive the sound is from the PC.
Newegg had this card awhile back for $39.99, at $49.99 it's still a great buy.
I highly recommend this card.
